INDONESIAN FOOD PART 2! AKA. SOTO!!!

Today i’m not going to talk to any specific kind of meat. Because from the cuisine that i will show today can use any kind of meat from chicken, fish, beef, lamb and pork. the dishes that i want to tell you guys today is “SOTO”. it’s a soup kind of meal that serve with white rice. there’s a lot of kind of Soto all over indonesia that you can find. So now i will show you the Soto.
1. Soto Betawi

Soto Betawi is famous in Jakarta. This kind of soto is founded between 1977-1978, the soup of the soto is using santan (coconut milk) and chicken/meat stock. Mostly Soto Betawi is using meat, Tomato, Egg and Emping (Indonesian cracker), Most of the people put extra chilli and sweet soy sauce to their Soto Betawi to enhance the taste of the soup.
2. Soto Ayam

Soto Ayam is a soup with chicken meat and a clear soup. but sometimes you can find that the soup is not completely clear but a little bit yellowish because they add some ginger to the soup. The way to serve the Soto ayam is almost the same with any other Soto that using white rice. But for this Soto sometime they mix the rice together with the Soto. The ingredient of the Soto Ayam is Chicken Meat, chicken stock, tomato, Toge (bean sprout), Egg and Chilli.

3. Soto Mie Bogor

This Soto is a little bit different with the other soto because it’s serve with noodle not white rice. the taste of the soup is almost the same with soto ayam but it have more sour and salty flavour. Soto Mie is famous in Bogor because it’s founded there but you can find soto mie all over Indonesia, but if you want to taste the real Soto Mie you need to go to Bogor. The Ingredient of Soto mie is Tomato, Yellow Noodle, Risol (Indonesian Fried Dumpling), Celery and Beef/Chicken Meat.
